Origin in Storen from Karin Sellevold of Slayton, MN (given to her by her father, Sam Bogen). Parents names from birth record (Storen church); her name was given as Storesingen (the farm name) on her birth record, she used Vold (where her grandmother lived) on the emigration record. Came to US in 1872 (Trondheim emigration record). This is almost certain to be the right Kari because of the birth date, her mother's last name (Engen), her birthplace (Storen), and that she was the only Kari from Storen emigrating to the US in the 1865-1875 time period.
Birth, death, burial: Singsaas church records, on microfilm at Archives of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, 8765 Higgins Rd., Chicago, IL. Name given as Engen.
Name given as Kari Andersdatter in church membership list p. 78
